D.I.Y : Cash Organizer/Cash Envelopes

Like I promised in my previous post here..

I'm sharing how I did my cash organizer..

Forewarning, I'm not blessed with artsy hands..

Please bear with my novice attempts to make my own envelopes.. :)

I've selected my own wrapping papers that I've bought at Daiso at RM5 for 3.

Then, I used a real envelope with the size that I've desired. I've separated the flaps and used it as my template

I'm sacrificing you my pretty envelope. T_T

It is advisable to use a recycled envelope. Since I don't have one, I have to make do with what I have in my room.

Then, I traced my pretty wrapping papers and cut them.

Then, I proceeded to the next step which paper folding. I used a ruler to make a crisp folds.

Then I glued the side flaps, leaving the upper flap alone and here is the finished product.

And here, I made a mistake *sorry!*..I glued the wrong flaps!! It was supposed to look like this.

Did you guys see my mistakes??

I only noticed this when I have finished glueing all my envelopes. Talk about novice! Hahaha..

Then I took my Bregata refillable notebook and took out the removable papers.

Then, I took one of the paper and used the holes as the template on my envelopes so that they matched up. Using a puncher, I punched the holes.

I clipped them into my organizer and added some papers that I have removed earlier as my spending notes.

I used the clear cover sheet as the separator from the envelopes and the papernotes.

For labelling, I used Microsoft Words *because I'm Photoshop noob!*, printed them and cut them all. Then I glued the labels onto the respective envelopes.

Tadaah!! My cash organizer project is finished! Easy right? Even an art noob like me nailed it *ok ok, with a bit of incident..the distorted envelopes.. >__<*

Managing My Cash: Cash Envelope System

Today's post is quite lengthy and serious..

Don't bother to read it if you're not interested.

When it comes to budgeting, I've always have a weak heart..

I always overspend..

So when I've started my part-time job last year, I have to develop a system so that I don't overspend and I want to manage my spending wisely..

Without depending on my parents anymore..

So I adopted a cash envelope system..

Everytime during my paycheck, I will divide all my money into separate envelopes according to the necessity..

In 2009, Dave Ramsey also proposed this system..

But honestly, I don't even know him back then..

It is a system I picked up from my mother..

She is really good at budgeting..

I have been doing this system for more than a year and it works really well for me..

And I want to share it.

1. I categorized my spending i.e petrol, daily, rental etc.

2. Before my payday, I roughly estimated my earning and started budgeting. If I earn more than I've expected, the extra will go into my saving envelope and my miscellaneous envelope.

3. During payday, I divided my cash and filled them into the allocated labelled envelopes.

4. I never tempted to use the cash that I've alotted for other necessity. Once I've spent my cash for a given envelope, I will not touch the others unless it is for emergency.

Here are my budget lists/categories for a rough idea:

Parking - My work requires daily parking fee, so I count the cash I need for parking

Example: RM3 x 30 days = RM90

So, any leftovers from this will go into my alotted funds

Daily - It's actually my daily meals money. But putting food as a category makes me look like a glutton so I change it into 'Daily' so it looks more sophisticated. Hahahaha..

Rental - need explain eh? >__< 

I.O.U - During my economic crunch *I have my economic crunch??haha*, I have borrowed a lot from my friends and family. It is not something that I'm proud of. So I've started to pay them back slowly, one by one.

Miscellaneous - Toilettries, contact lenses, clothing etc.

Tuition Fees - Now that my scholarship has ended, I have to self-finance my master degree now. So I alotted some for my fees.

Saving - Not much but at least I did some saving

Funds - This is what I'm talking about earlier. Everytime I have leftovers from any of the categories, I will put them into this envelope. Right now, I need a new laptop, so I'm saving this to buy a laptop. :)

Petrol - I own a car and I drive to work, so it is important.

Transition of my Cash Envelope System

This is the exciting part for me. First, I used money envelopes that I got for free from the banks

Then, I've spiced up my envelopes by buying kitchy envelopes from Daiso.

Then, after browsing the net, I've found a way to make my own cash envelopes!!

I made the envelopes from scratch! I will show you in my next post.I'm quite proud of them even though they were a bit distorted..Hahaha..What to do. I'm not really artsy.. ;p

And I improvised it by using an organizer and added some blank papers for me to write down my spending. *You know, to trace them back, just in case.* And tadaaaah! My own cash organizer.

In this video, my eyes is kinda glued at Minhyun..His vocal in this song is amazing and much better than in Face. In this video, his mysterious, cold and sexy auras/charms are double up.. *hanyan* *pervert noona again*

1. Ni blog haku kotttt..Suka hati tok nenek aku la nak pakai bahasa inggeris ka, bahasa melayu ka, bahasa tamil ka..

2. Masa daftar blogspot dulu, takde pulak aku baca terms & conditions "orang melayu mesti tulis melayu, orang cina tulis cina bla bla bla". Ke ada? aku yang tak perasan? Sebab asyik dok perasan diri ni mat salleh sampai tak perasan benda lain.. >___<

2. Suka hati aku la nak feeling-feeling omputih ni...Korang tanggung aku bulan-bulan ke??

3. Ni kes jarang baca blog aku la, sedap ajinamoto je nak hentam. Blog aku DWI-Bahasa..Ada kala aku pakai BM, adakala BI..

4. Time ni la aku nak improve penulisan BI aku bengong...Kalau feeling-feeling omputih dalam diari, mana ada orang baca? Bila tak ada orang baca, memang jahanam lah kita nak meningkatkan tahap penguasaan kita. Penah dengar "practice makes perfect"? Ni mesti tak penah dengar kan??Kesian..Ni lah Melayu, baru cakap BI skit, dah tuduh berlagak. Ni baru tulis BI, dah kena tuduh lupa diri pulak. 5. Aku tulis blog bukan nak famous or jadik maha hebat macam orang lain, aku tulis untuk kepuasan sendiri. Dah ada sorang dua readers, dah sangat mencukupi untuk aku bersemangat menulis. Sebab tu kalau tengok entri-entri aku, sangat kecah. Kejap topik ni, topik tu..Sebab aku tulis ikut apa yang aku nak tulis.

Agak-agak tak berkenan dengan aku yang super jelita ni, yang pegi jenguk blog aku buat apa?? Tambah dosa korang je mengata aku..Tu ha atas tu, besar je tanda X..Klik lah..Bukan susah pun.

Dah dua tahun aku tulis blog, ni je followers aku

 Kalau cita-cita aku nak jadik famous blogger, followers sebanyak ni dah boleh buat aku terjun bangunan. Majoriti followers kawan-kawan pulak tu..

Tapi ada aku stop? Tak kan?

Ni lagi loser..Sorang je follower, tapi aku dah cukup bangga sebab tuan punya badan sanggup follow padahal dia bukan minat sangat pasal hal-hal muka..

KFC Flaming Crunch

I don't want to become a prejudice.

But after trying this new KFC Flaming Crunch three times, I have to say it out loud.

I HATE IT!!!

It tasted weird *but not weird until I can't eat it*

It looks weird *as if I just dropped my chicken into barrel full with cornflakes and I hates cornflakes..oh well except for the honeyed cornflakes that my mom bake during Hari Raya*

But because I love crunchiness in my fried chicken and I think Original Recipe tasted blahh, I always take spicy variant.

Now, please bring back the original spicy a.s.a.p



Comic Paradise

I love comics..

I've always been a fan of comics..

Especially Archie comics and Penyiasat Remaja..

I do reads others like Gempak Starz collection, selected mangas etc..

But my obsession always on these two..

Coincidentally, my obsession on comics started at the same time as my obsession with reading...At 11 years old..

Archie comics at 14 years old..

The influencer is my childhood friend, Khairunnisa..

She's the one who introduced me to R.L Stines and Penyiasat Remaja..

I guess I owed her very much..

We used to borrow each other books and comics as we can't afford the buy the whole collection due to money constraint.

How I miss those moments TT___TT

So when I grow up and finally have my own income, I've decided to complete my Penyiasat Remaja collection.

And oh my! It is very hard!

1. The source is limited

2. I don't believe in online shopping

3. I've been looking very hard for 3 years.

So please imagine how happy and please I am when a WHOLE collection of Penyiasat Remaja (all of them! Penyiasat Remaja Cabaran, Kes Khas etc) is laying in front of my eyes and enticing me..They keep screaming "buy me! buy me!"..

Oh ok, books do not really said that. @__@

I walked into Comic Paradise at Jusco Mahkota Cheras just for fun, to kill times..

But I ended up hauling them up!! ;p

They also carry Gempak Starz collection and other Comic House collection.. Yipppiee!

Since I'm aware that I'm going to frequently visit the store, I've signed up for membership @ RM15 for 1 year.

The membership offers discount..Hehehehe..

It is totally my own fault for succumbing into the homaigod-everything-is-RM5-so-cheap-facepalm scheme..

I love going into Daiso..

It was like going into a Disneyland for shopaholic..

Lots of stuff to discover and *ehem* buy..

The items there are sooo kitschy and cute and cheap!

*And not to mention unnecessary to me because basically I don't need them urgently*

But....I ended up buying them anyway.. @__@

I'm not the only one having the Daiso fever, my colleague too..

She will go into Daiso at every single free time she has..

I bought two cash envelopes..

Big one for separating my cash into i.e fuel, bills etc..

Let just face it, if I put everything inside my purse, I will have this very kaya feeling and ended up spending all those beautiful cashes..

The smaller ones, I saved for incoming Hari Raya..

I MUST HAVE THEM as my 'sampul raya'!

They are cute and unique!

*Well, I honestly loathes money packet with words like Jusco, Citibank etc splashes on it!*

And my so-called manly and though little brothers have to accept the cute kimono sampul raya or receive NO duit raya from me at all..

*evil laugh*

And a few unnecessary stuffs I bought *tsk tsk* except for the purple water spray..

It is for my 70% alcohol and because it is purple.. >__<

So that my workbench looks cool.. ^_^

This anticipated MV have been released a few days ago, I HAVE time to watch, but time to blog..hihihi..

Yes, the video is in similar concept with previous videos but the members never failed to capture my heart since two years ago..

My favourite part of the video??

The catwalk part.. Siwon, Donghae, Sungmin *kyaaaa!* and Kyuhyun really nail it! They look like real international runaway models..

And, I almost forgot about Kangin until I saw him doing his part..Teehee..Sorry..

Nine Muses: My Second Girl Crush!

It is kind of hard for me to go ga ga over girl groups..

I do like the songs, but I don't go up to extend of 24/7 looking for their latest updates and photos..

First, I was blown away by After School..

Secondly, at early 2012, I was blown away for the second time by Nine Muses..

Like After School, the members keep changing..

But not because of the 'admission and graduation' concept..

They're also however *to me* are underrated. They're not as famous as SNSD, 4 Minute or 2NE1..

To be honest, I was quite repulsed at their debut single 'No Playboy'..

I don't give a damn about Nine Muses since then.

2012..While I was looking and updating myself for some quality musics (to my ears..because personal preference is very subjective), I stumbled upon their latest single News.. It was so good that I immediately downloaded both track and the MV..

And I keep replaying..Not satisfied, I look for other track, Figaro..

And since then, I can't have enough..

But since they not given enough spotlight, there are very limited supplies of their variety shows. I have to relies on others to upload the very rare Nine Muses shows. 

Then they came back with Ticket. That song blows me away immediately the moment I heard it.

1. Most of them are crazy backstage
2. They carried pin-up girl image..Stunning, mature and sexy..
3. Most of them have great vocals. Even for Lee Sam, the rapper.
